The season of fall has arrived, and leaves are scattering all over our garden in a frenzied fashion. The vibrant array of colors that each and every tree in the New England region of the United States displays during the fall and autumn seasons is without a doubt the most attractive aspect of living there (September to November).

The hue of light red or yellow that is starting to tint different portions of the tree each day, while there is still a significant amount of green that can be seen.

When it reaches its height of color, traveling around the eastern section of the United States, particularly the northeast, is like seeing all the thick and lush trees in varied shades of orange, red, yellow, magenta, green, etc.! Every autumn, visitors from every corner of the globe make their way to this location in order to catch a glimpse of this phenomenon.

At this time of year, apples are at their ripest and most flavorful, making this the ideal time to enjoy them. You get an incredible selection of apples, such as Granny Smith, Honey crisp (one of my favorites), McIntosh, Gala (another one I adore), Red Delicious, and so on.

Recently, as I was shopping at my neighborhood grocery store, I stumbled upon a bag of a delectable new kind called Ginger Gold. It is apparent that it is local produce from the New England region, and as a result, we were compelled to purchase a bag of it; needless to say, we are not in the least bit disappointed. Eat local is a philosophy that should be followed at all times, and the flavor was wonderful, with a touch of sweetness and a hint of acidity in each and every crispy bite!

When our Facebook group called “Healthy Wellthy Cuisines” chose the theme “apples” this time, I knew I had to make these delicious and easy-to-make, no-cook, no-bake apple donuts using these fresh Ginger Gold apples. I have made a number of dishes with fresh ripe apples in the past, but when our group decided to focus on apples this time, I knew I had to make them.

Donuts are a type of baked or fried dough that are typically covered in a cinnamon-sugar mixture or dipped in chocolate sauce or another type of fruit-flavored sauce. This definition of donuts is well-known by everyone. Donuts with a glaze, whether they be plain or chocolate, are always a crowd-pleaser in our house.

However, because they are created using fresh apples, they are completely free of any potential guilt and do not require any cooking. To achieve the appearance of a doughnut, simply cut some apples into slices and remove the core or the central piece of the apple.

Choose the spreads that you enjoy the most; these could be peanut butter, chocolate sauce, cheese spread, jam, yogurt, or any of the other options. Spread them on top of these apple slices and enjoy them simply or with whatever topping you choose, such as raisins, chopped dry fruits, fresh fruits, chocolate chips, or any other topping you can think of.

To remove any excess moisture that may be present on the apple slices, use a tissue or piece of paper towel to wipe each slice. If there is moisture present, spreading peanut butter or any other type of nut butter, cream cheese, or other similar substances will be difficult.

Prepare and serve immediately, or store in the refrigerator until ready to serve! Use your imagination to its fullest extent, basing it on the foods that you already have in your cupboards and refrigerator. You can use whichever variety of apples you choose or happens to be available.

Do you not agree that it is an excellent method for ensuring that your children consume the necessary amounts of fruit and apples? Apples are already wonderful on their own, but by adding these other delectable delights to them, you can encourage them to eat even more apples, increase their intake of essential nutrients, and enjoy a decadent snack or dessert!

Apples should be washed and sliced into thick pieces before being eaten. Remove the core from each slice by using a tool such as a cookie cutter, frosting or icing tip, or even a knife, melon baller, or anything similar.

Place the slices in the appropriate order on the platter.

To remove any excess moisture from the apple slices, wipe them down with a tissue or paper towel just before applying any of the spreads. Because of this, they can be easily spread over the slices. After which you can spread it with whatever toppings and spreads you like most.

Give everyone the opportunity to create their own, and enjoy seeing the fun and excitement as it unfolds!

Have fun, and may your meal be a delicious success!

However, despite the fact that these do not have the same flavor as a doughnut, they are just as much fun! Eliminating gluten from the recipe and replacing it with apples topped with a cream cheese spread creates a healthier snack that we can all feel better about eating. However, if you feel the need to indulge in a genuine yeasted donut every once in a while, we won’t hold it against you.

Apple rings are topped with any combination of yogurt, fruit, peanut butter, and anything else that your heart could possibly desire. It is an appetizing snack that can be prepared in a variety of ways, is vegan-friendly, and does not require any preparation or cooking time.

It is also possible for it to be a sweet delight without any additional sugar being added if you choose the right toppings.
